5-31 mothership trip, kayak fishing in the gulf stream!

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

Wow what a trip!  We went on a Mothership trip to kayak fish in gulf stream.  We were split up on 2 charter boats fishing out of Hatteras Inlet.  Big Thanks to the captain and crew of the Fish Hog and Big Tahuna Sportfishing Charters, Rob Alderman and the rest of The Outer Banks Angler cast and crew, Hooters for letting the 6 employees off of work to join us,  Ric Burnley, Joy Crist and the rest of the Island Free Press crew for making this happen.  Here is a link to the article published by the Island Free Press about this adventure.  Check it out for pictures and story.

Sound reports

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

Sorry guys.  I havent posted any reports lately.  I just havent been fishing much.  The few times I have been flounder fishing the fishing has been pretty poor.  The boaters fishing in the channels have been doing good on them so they are there but just still in the deeper water.  I have a feeling it is going to bust loose pretty soon in the shallow water department.  In the last 3 times out we have caught flounder, pupy drum, speckled trout, croaker, and spot.

4-18-09 short trip

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

My 2 guests from Canada and I went out on a real short trip today. We didnt catch anything but it was a beautiful day out today. We were out for maybe 1.5 hours and only fished for maybe 20 minutes. It was sunny with no clouds which made it perfect for sight fishing but just didnt see any fish other than a few schools of mullet. Maybe tomorrow.
